The human body can generate mechanical vibrations at very low frequencies, so-called infrasonic waves.
Such low-frequency vibrations are produced by physiological processes heartbeats, respiratory movements, blood flow in vessels, and other processes.
Recognising the different frequencies that organs of the human body produce is a skill that needs to be learned. The heart resonance frequency is ~ 1 hz. The brain has a resonance frequency of ~ 10 hz, blood circulation about 0.05 to 0.3 hz.
The scientists discovered that the observed vibrations are connected with the cardiovascular system, which has its own proper movements occurring simultaneously with the work of the heart.
Three types of infrasonic vibrations were registered. Waves of the first type are connected with the heartbeat; the second with the human respiratory rhythm; the third, called Traube-Hering waves, with states of emotional tension.
Thus, it could be possible to judge the human emotional state via the amplitude frequency response of these waves.
Body Resonance is an approach to health and well-being that recognizes the effect consciousness has on physical and emotional health. As such Body Resonance is a journey in conscious living; a training in all aspects of our lives, which allows us to value and elevate our existence. This journey leads us to discover the art of authentic being and how to open ourselves to the potential of our naturally free and loving nature.
Body Resonance is based on the principle that all is in vibration. In fact quantum mechanics suggests that all is vibration and, furthermore, indicates a universe in which everything is inter-connected.
From this perspective there developed a view of health termed “quantum medicine.” Although perhaps overused and with ‘new age’ connotations, I find the term useful because it describes a prospective medicine that views life, health and disease as a network phenomenon, and the body and mind not as separate and distinct but as aspects of one body-mind which includes the physical body as well as emotions, thoughts and beliefs.
As with the individual, a resonant frequency also exists within any group of people – families, schools, organizations, businesses etc. In this resonance a consciousness arises that is somehow ‘more’ than any individual’s awareness – a “gestalt” (an organized whole that is perceived as more than the sum of its parts.) of awareness, perhaps. Another level of intelligence begins to manifest when a group of people are together living and / or working with each other in harmony. Remember that this may not always be a positive thing!
Life’s challenges can disrupt what I consider to be a natural harmonic state. We are all connected, in ways that are both conscious and unconscious. The inter-relatedness of one body with all others, and with the universe at large, makes life a universal and not an individual process. If one part of us is out of balance, it affects the whole.
‘Becoming The Whole”
Body Resonance is an invitation to become aware of and let go of our own boundaries. It encourages unlimited personal creativity which can lead the individual to emancipation from limited concepts and habitual tendencies. This is a powerful process which transmits and encourages others to the same.
The possibility for healing – becoming “whole” – is in some measure, contained within each individual, in which case ‘disease’ is a collective event. And, because of the interrelation of all bodies, therapy is a two-way process between client and practitioner. This is my definition of quantum medicine.
